March 2

George Harrison met Pattie Boyd on the first day of filming "A Hard Day's Night" on March 2, 1964.

Although she only had one line in the film, she would later inspire George to write "Something" and "I Need You".  An affair and subsequent marriage stirred Eric to write "Layla" and "Wonderful Tonight".

An artist in her own right, Pattie has a great story.  I loved the audiobook version of her book "Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton and Me" read by Pattie herself.

1960: Buck Sergeant PRESLEY left Germany after serving 2 years in the Army.  A refueling stop in Prestwick, U.K. was the first and only time ELVIS ever set foot on British soil.

You may have remembered that John Cowsill (b 3/2/1956) was the drummer for his family band You might be aware that The Partridge Family TV show was based on The COWSILLS, but did you know that John married one of The BANGLES (Vicki Peterson) and now tours with The Beach Boys?
