March 7

BRIAN WILSON released his debut sols single "Caroline No" in 1966.

The song would later be included on The BEACH BOYS' "Pet Sounds" album.

Original ZOMBIES drummer Hugh Grundy (3/6/1945) and bassist Chris White (3/7/1943) were both born this week.

Chris wrote the majority of their amazing "Odessey & Oracle" album and the song "Hold Your Head Up" for Rod Argent's post-Zombie band ARGENT.  As an A & R man, he also discovered DIRE STRAITS.

The name Matthew Fisher (b 3/7/41946) may not be familiar, but his opening notes of PROCOL HAREM's "Whiter Shade of Pale" are unforgettable.
