March 6

In just 2 takes on March 6, 1958 The EVERLY BROTHERS recorded what would become the only single ever to be at #1 on all of Billboard's charts simultaneously.

ERIC CLAPTON became the first THREE-TIME inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.

Born in Greenville, Mississippi March 6, 1944, MARY WILSON lived in St. Louis and Chicago before settling in Detroit where she would meet Florence Ballard.  When Flo asked her to join a singing group, she invited her new friend Diane Ross.

Other rock & roll birthdays include Domingo "Sam" Zamudio (1937)...

...and (in 1936) Sylvia Robinson, half of MICKEY & SYLVIA, who would go on to be a pioneer in rap and hip-hop music founding Sugarhill Records.
