January 6

Although DORIS TROY (January 6, 1937 – February 16, 204) only managed one big hit, she has an impressive resume.  She co-wrote her Top 10 hit from 1963 and also sang backup with The ROLLING STONES, DUSTY SPRINGFIELD, CARLY SIMON and can be heard on PINK FLOYD's "Dark Side of the Moon".

NINO TEMPO has a similar story.  Born Antonio LoTempio  January 6, 1935, he is remembered only for "Deep Purple" with April Stevens, but Nino was also a member of the famed WRECKING CREW and played on hundreds of hit records including JOHN LENNON's "Rock & Roll" album.
